AI Mux Terms of Service

Version 2026-09-20. These terms cover access to AI Mux, prepaid usage, billing questions, acceptable use and privacy. Read them before creating an account or using the service.
The service
AI Mux is an API gateway that routes your requests to third-party AI model providers under one key. It is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis, without warranties of any kind. Features, models, SLA tiers and prices may change at any time.
Accounts and access
You are responsible for keeping your account credentials and API keys confidential and for all activity under your account. We may suspend or close accounts that abuse the service, attempt to disrupt it, evade limits, or use it unlawfully.
Eligibility and acceptance
The service is intended for adults aged 18 or over who can enter into a binding agreement. If you use it for an organization, you must be authorized to do so. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these terms. If you disagree, do not use the service. AI Mux is an independent service; identifying a third-party model does not imply endorsement by its developer.
Prepaid credits and payments
The service runs on a prepaid balance with no subscription or automatic renewal. API usage credits are purchased through Waffo Pancake checkout and added to your AI Mux account after payment is confirmed. Available purchase options are shown at checkout. Balance and credits are consumed by usage, are non-transferable, and are not redeemable for cash, without limiting the refund rights described below.
Prices and usage charges
Prices are shown in US dollars unless explicitly stated otherwise. Model, service tier, input, output and cache usage can affect the amount charged. Review the published rates before calling a model; the console provides usage and balance records. A displayed rate is not a guarantee that every request costs the same amount. Any purchase amount, credited value and applicable tax must be shown before payment. Expiry conditions for purchased or promotional credits, if any, must be disclosed when they are issued; we do not introduce undisclosed expiry conditions through this page.
Payments and Merchant of Record
For purchases processed through Waffo Pancake, Waffo acts as Merchant of Record and the seller for the transaction. The applicable seller entity, amount, currency, taxes and purchase terms are identified at checkout and in the transaction documents. Waffo handles payment processing, customer billing and invoicing, applicable transaction taxes, refunds and payment disputes in accordance with the applicable purchase terms and law. AI Mux provides the API gateway service, usage accounting and product support. We will not start subscription billing or automatic top-ups without a separate, explicit authorization.
Refunds and billing corrections
Contact [email protected] with your account email, transaction reference and a description of the problem; never send a password or complete card details. Verified duplicate charges, missing credits and incorrect usage charges will be corrected through the responsible seller or payment provider. Consumed service usage is normally not refundable except for billing errors, undelivered service or applicable statutory rights. For purchases through Waffo, use the payment-support details in your checkout or receipt to request a refund; AI Mux can help verify credited balance, usage and service delivery. Refund eligibility and processing are governed by the policy presented before purchase and applicable law. These terms do not waive mandatory consumer rights or require you to give up a lawful payment dispute.
Ending use and account closure
You can stop making requests at any time; there is currently no recurring subscription to cancel. Contact [email protected] to request account closure and resolve any remaining balance or billing questions. If we permanently discontinue paid service for reasons other than your breach, we will arrange handling of verified unused purchased value with the responsible seller or payment provider, subject to applicable law. Promotional credits are distinct from purchased value. Necessary billing or legal records may remain after account closure as explained in the Privacy Policy.
Your input and AI output
You retain your rights in the prompts you submit and the output returned to you. Requests pass through to the selected third-party model provider only as needed to complete the call. AI output may be inaccurate, incomplete or outdated; review it before relying on it, especially for professional or safety-critical decisions.
Acceptable use
You agree not to use the service for anything unlawful in your jurisdiction, to resell or disguise access in violation of an upstream provider’s terms, to scrape or reverse-engineer the service, or to generate content that infringes others’ rights. You remain responsible for your prompts, outputs, and downstream use.
Prohibited use
The service must not be used to generate or distribute pornography or sexually explicit content, child sexual exploitation material, terrorist content, extreme violence, hate, harassment, fraud or malware; deceptive deepfakes or impersonation; content infringing copyright, trademarks or privacy; unauthorized access, intrusion, denial-of-service or abusive scraping; or to bypass safety controls, moderation or rate limits, or train a competing model from systematically collected responses. We may restrict or suspend access, preserve necessary security records and cooperate with lawful requests from authorities. Report abuse or request review of a restriction at [email protected]. A restriction does not remove non-waivable consumer rights.
Privacy and security auditing
Our Privacy Policy at https://aimux.cc/privacy explains how we process account information, usage records and conversation audit data. To identify misuse and security risks and investigate failures, AI Mux may retain portions of requests, model responses and related technical records. These records may contain personal or other sensitive information you submit. Their use is limited to necessary security auditing, risk handling and troubleshooting, with access restricted to authorized personnel. Do not submit passwords, API keys or sensitive personal information unrelated to the service.
Safety measures and planned improvements
We may investigate reports and restrict or suspend access when misuse is identified. We plan to introduce additional automated input and output safety screening and blocking. These additional controls are not yet fully deployed; this statement is not a claim that every request is screened or that all unsafe content is blocked. Recording a request for audit does not itself mean that the request has passed a safety review.
Your compliance
The service is offered generally and is not directed at any particular country or region. You are responsible for ensuring that your access and use comply with the laws and regulations that apply to you.
Liability and disputes
To the maximum extent permitted by law, AI Mux is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for loss arising from model output, downtime, credential misuse or upstream-provider behaviour. Total liability is limited to the unused balance in your account where that limit is lawful. Nothing here excludes liability or consumer protections that applicable law does not permit us to exclude. Changes
We will identify revised terms with an updated version and date. Material changes will be communicated through the site or account contact channels, with advance notice where required by law. Where a change requires consent, we will seek it rather than treating this page alone as authorization for a new charge or data use.
